I specifically picked that still of “the young man” because he reminded me a lot of Edward Norton in this scene. It was a constant thought replaying itself in my head, especially after he’d gotten beat up. There was just something so Norton circa Fight Club in the way he looked and the way he portrayed disorientation. This film, of course, came out before Fight Club, but I’d seen the latter first, so it’s a reference point.

I’ve now seen every full length feature film that Nolan has directed. I feel a sense of accomplishment… which I shouldn’t really, since he’s only directed around eight of them.
